Autodesk Maya 2019 tutorial : Modeling a Beach Chair in 3D

In this 3D modeling tutorial in Autodesk Maya 2019 I will show you how to model a beach chair using traditional 3d modeling techniques as well as nCloth in the FX menu in Maya . These techniques can also be used to model for example an awning or canape.

  1. Using subdivision when adding the bridges for the notch creates bad topology without an edge loop vertically as well. Unless I missed something I see no reason to have that subdivision in the first place.

  7. Hi Mike, thank you for this, love all your tutorials :). You can use symmetry instead of using duplicate special. And, you can also select an edge, and (Shift+drag) to extrude.
