Mike, when I create a Helix, the coils aren't separate like in a spring. How would I turn a Helix into a spring like you have in the video?
Incredibly useful and easy to understand video. Thank you so much
I can never find my way around all these menus
Well done. Thank You!
Thanks
Is it possible to keep the section a round circle?
tnx. very helpful.
In Maya 2016 the 'Deform' tab is now under modelling, no longer with animation. Thanks for the tutorial.
Another excellent tutorial as usual…you are a 3d rockstar!!! Do you know if there is a way to taper the helix without it flattening the coil itself. Basically I need to taper the overall coil but not change the circle profile so that the "spring" bar stays round.
Every time I struggle with modeling something, the first tutorial that pops up is Mike Hermes. Haha. Thank you so much, each one has been really helpful. 🙂
you dont have to press ctrl+z for undo in maya. just z
Hey Mike!
Very helpful tutorial,thanks!
I was wondering if maybe you can make a tutorial on modeling a bike wheel!
Thanks again for all of your effort.
nice one, small and sweet
Hi Mike, this is excellent, but how not to deform (squeeze) the helix section?
Thank you so much Mike, it helped out a lot!!
Can you rigg it for a car animation or other ??
