This is a CG undersea shot for a TV spot.
I built the Mosasaur in Maya from photos of skeletons of the actual beast. It was for a savage ancient seas TV spot to promote the exhibit at an aquarium.

Very creative 3d animation!
he/she was a lizard after when a t-rex scared him to the water he was in the for years then he became mosaur
amazing!
The light rays were billboards. Two sets of wispy lines painted in photoshop, placed together and moved slowly in opposite directions. The caustics on the creatures back were also bitmap projections. Caustics and volume lights take too long to render and too hard to tweak so I cheated. This is ok if you don't need to move the camera.
WOooooooooooooWW
Coolest 5 seconds ever
If you mean render times are soooo long. It's true. It's very frustrating. Best thing to do is to get another PC as a slave. Work on one, render on the other and be patient.
Yes. Autodesk Maya. Now that I look at the title, it may not make sense.
