Question… How do you get close enough to a fly for a macro shot without scaring it away ? Do you just move really slow ? I know flies can see in slow motion so if you move really slow then they can't see you moving, but I just wondered if you have a technique ?
I'm new to your channel. And find it really inspiring, you have a lovely manner and enjoy the nature of your photography while out walking, no tripod etc. Thanks for sharing. Well done on your success.
Am sorry I missed the stream. You deserve all the compliments – very clear and simple videos and very informative. You keep it real! Congrats on the 50K – hope to see the 75K and then 100k followers achievement soon. More photo walks, lens reviews, experimental stuff, and diy tips, and settings – so basically more of Everything you mentioned 🙂 (perhaps look at a regular schedule?) Personally, I was going to suggest more demonstrations of macro shots of insects, but then realised you have already done many of these videos so am going to go back through your older content again. PS: 100% agreement with the ring-flash. I foolishly fell into the trap of buying it before even trying macro properly. Well, stupidity needs to be rewarded. Waste of money. Standard flash works so much better. Have been trying to find that lamp bulb-cover you use and will use it when I find. Perhaps post the dimensions?

Congrats on 50k Micael! I've just found your channel and you've inspired me to start doing macro photography. Thank you!

Поздравляю!
Hi Michael, I think I found something similar to your diffuser. Shipping to my country currently costs a lot, but it might be useful to others:
