But there’s another camera I use for landscape photography that gives me a perspective I can’t easily get with any of my other cameras and that’s my Mavic Pro.

Drones are getting cheaper and more accessible. While I initially bought the Mavic Pro to improve the content I create for this channel, I soon realised the power DJI built into this small package for capturing stills. But in this video, I’m going to take you through how I capture landscape photos using my Mavic Pro.
So out of all the drones available when I bought this, I went with the Mavic Pro, because I think that’s the sweet spot between image quality and portability. As I mentioned before, one of the advantages the drone has over any other camera I have in my hand is I can get this up in the air easily for that unique perspective. This opens up another dimension for telling a story, new angles on a landscape and different compositions.
Speaking of composition, I also have a lot more freedom when positioning the drone and composing my image. I’m not restricted by cliffs, hills or a lack of access because there are no paths.
Before we get going, let’s quickly check the settings to make sure we have the best image quality. I have the image size set to 4:3 for the greatest resolution possible using all of that sensor – this gives me the option to crop a little later if I need to. I always shoot in Manual mode. ISO should be 100 for maximum image quality. I also like to shoot in RAW and DJI provides us with that option under Image Format.
With those settings, we’re are now ready to fly and capture some landscape images!

Amazing video; I got a DJI Air 2s, I don't think it has the same capability as Mavic Pro, but your video gives some great ideas for drone photography.

I would say that your drone needs repaired. It seems that the gimbal is defective as it does not keep the horizon straight. You shouldn't have to adjust the horizon that much.
Hello from Gippsland Andrew, on to my third drone… phantom 2, phantom 3 now Mini 2. The small package is the way to go. The phantom 2 is worth 0. The 3 is a good unit for particular applications. I love the aspect you can get with a drone.
Sometimes it’s good enough to be just 5 or 10 meters up and gives you like 10m tripod. Excellent content 👍🏻 and from a land down under…! Not the fells in the lakes district!! Cheers 👍🏻🍷❤️🇦🇺

Only had my Mavic 2 pro a short time, just learning t he flying part first , before progressing to Video and photo . Their is alot to take in. I have found 3 batteries are not enough so will purchase another one remembering were all the setting are on the fly is not easy as a old feller , Great work Andrew

Is your camera the Hasselblad camera or the zoom. I am just starting to take photos and use my goggles. The goggles need a lot of time to get use to. I felt sick for the first few minutes. I did landscape photography and travel photography with my DSLR.

Sure would be nice if people calling themselves photographers were smart enough to realize how ridiculous videos look when recorded using a selfie stick while walking. I can't watch this to the end. It is giving me a headache with the bouncing and watching the odd angle you twist to as you hold the phone out in front of you.
