Wedding photography is a challenging genre that takes a wide range of skills, and it can be easy to make a mistake that derails things. If you are working on improving your skills, check out this fantastic video tutorial that features an experienced wedding photographer discussing seven common mistakes and how to fix them or avoid them entirely.
Coming to you from John Branch IV Photography, this excellent video tutorial discusses common mistakes wedding photographers make and how to fix or avoid them. One I commonly see is having a lax or poorly implemented backup strategy. It seems obvious to say, but you really do need to have a strong and well-implemented backup strategy, particularly in a genre in which you do not get second chances. This means backing up files as soon as possible (even before the reception if possible) and having at least three copies, including at least one set off-site. For that, I am a big fan of Backblaze. It is only $6 a month for unlimited space, and it has saved me a few times now. It really is a no-brainer as long as you have decent upload speeds. Check out the video above for the full rundown.
