This tutorial was made to familiarize anyone to using Adobe Photoshop, and start creating awesome graphic design and projects today! This long video is a 5-Section tutorial that was designed to be a resource which could be used if one wishes to improve upon/ learn one certain aspect covered in the basics, however if you are a complete beginner, I recommend you follow along the whole way though this tutorial, so hopefully by the end of it, you will be alot more confident with your knowledge and ability as you continue getting more comfortable with the program!

  1. This is great, I have probably been using photoshop since it came out but I have many gaps in my PS knowledge, one being the layering. Thanks heaps for the great tutorial, I look forward to more. 🙂 I was hoping you had more tutorials but you don't :'(

  2. Alright so I have come here as a complete beginner the most valuable things i have got out of this video is the keyboard shortcuts ctrl+alt+Z and ctrl+T .
What I was expecting when I came here to this video titled " The Basics for Beginners" was a step by step structured tool by tool explanation something along the lines of:

"This is the interface you will get when you first open photoshop, the bar on the left has all your <insert prefered word here> options which we will go into shortly, The bar on the right is for these options, top for these options, bottom for these options/data. "

"This is how you open a new document (you did show this) now the top tool on the left over here does this demonstration it can be used for this and here is some extra information on it (possible keyboard shortcuts) the next tool down does this demonstration it can be used for this and here is extra information" and so on

This tutorial just seemed to want to go everywhere. Granted the information you provided is useful but I feel as lost as I was at the start of this.

I hope this constructive criticism helps you going forward making more tutorials as you do seem to have a good voice for doing them, just please think about the structure of the tutorial and ask yourself "what do i want to teach?", "What are the basic parts and how do I show them one by one?", "Can I explain this in a way a child could understand", "Is this part too complex or big? and does it require its own video?" and "is there any extra information I have learned that I wish I knew when I first started? (keep this part short and very simple)"

  3. For architect students and beginners
My brother, who is a super talented student, just launched his new channel with quick and easy tutorials on how to edit landscapes and buildings with photoshop. Search for: Tore Kinch-Jensen

And ofc thanks for the tutorial! I myself am still learning 🙂
