This video was a bit long, but it goes through the entire process of essentially “porting” a game model to be used as an animation asset in Blender. There’s a lot that I didn’t cover but blew through, so I’ll be making some more simple tutorials in the future to solidify basic concepts. Thank you for watching!
The bar at the top was supposed to be clickable, but I forgot that YouTube had removed annotations.

There is a much easier way to get the textures to work, you don't even have to mess with the nodes
Hello guess this app you learn
All blender modelling download link here
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dbzshiv.youtube.myapplication
None of them are fbx
You cheated by already importing a full Mewtwo.
How do you make it so you can see the bones and move the body parts?
You should make a discord server for people who like to use blender for VG models like me and many other people I have met on discord.
I love this tutorial! Thanks to you I've discovered several features I didn't know Blender can use!
This is a really great tutorial although for some reason I don't have the bones when I open this project
I got a problem, https://gyazo.com/45a91f1896297e3d65be494c8f8ea2c9 I followed the tutorial on the eye's materials, but it ends up being dark in the render I even checked if i did the nodes right https://gyazo.com/9f8ffce6f4ca62f29248d07a63546085 I need help
VirtualTurtle I have a question for you, in 3DMax we have Bones, Bidep and CAT to animate, also drivers, scripts and some other tools to make it easier.
What is the potential of Blender versus 3DMax in animation? I mean, what tools does Blender have for animation that may be similar to 3DMax or even better.
Also the lack of information about animation in Blender is a problem.
I want to jump to Blender, but I'm a little afraid that maybe I'm not close to 3DMax in animation,
What do you think?
hey you would can put modifier uv warp for move the texture eyes =D great tuto
Great
Thank you for guide and time-stamp for each part i came for IK rig becuase i don't know how to do it. XD
Hey bro can i just download the models you work on to avoid re-modeling this myself? I'm trying to animated.
when I try to import a model from this site into blender it saids version 6100 unsupported must be 7100 or later what dose that mean
Do you mind if I make a 5 minutes long tutorial on how to import and add textures to Pokemon models from that website? I will talk about your video too for those who want to go deeper and animate the models. I`ve been wanting to do a Pokemon tutorial for a while with proper models and I don`t want to make you feel I copy your content, I would much rather give you some followers.
Good Vid
That website had a lot of great models, omg…
Awesome video! However I was yelling “TAIL” during the whole posing session 😛
This is awesome! Thanks for the tutorial!
Thanks for the tutorial man! I’m going to try it out and follow it in the morning!
I may have not watched the whole thing yet but this is beautiful and I have massive respect for you doing these for the fake smash leak. Can't wait to learn this stuff more so I can make thumbnails using my renders!
Amazing tutorial! I was always wondering what the best way is to quadrangulate a game mesh, without loosing UVs. Also that you didn't move his tail for the cool pose triggered me, luckyly the final render at the end was diffrent xD
Thanks for the tutorial Turtle!
Keep at it 🙂
