  3. Legitimate question, does his work still hold on modern times? Like all his pictures look so much like others today, with the only distinct difference I can see is the impressive use of grayscale for more than an insta filter, like for example I can type "landscape" into Google and get a million results of pictures of what look like similar quality at least in terms of how pleasing to the eye they are.

    Pls don't hate

  7. I have a few small prints of Ansel Adams work hanging up that I got from a book from the 60s that was falling apart I've always loved his style and how great a photographer he was. Our culture has been over saturated with ho hum pictures with no intention behind them drowning out great photographers past and present.

  17. Nerdwriter1, your intention is much appreciated even with the two images that weren't Ansel's. You should now do a video on Edward Weston, (and his descendents, Brett, Kim and Zach) one of the greatest photographers of all time, a senior and good friend to Ansel. His work set the standard by which all other photographers aspire to, even today, 80 years later. His grandson, Kim and great-grandson, Zach, are continuing to work today in his tradition. You'll have to do your homework on this one. Thanks.

  26. The Neil Spiel photography is a beautiful medium. But the way it can be easily monetised saturates the world with rich kids with high end rigs who produce cookie cutter passable photos for a hefty price is pretty sad :/

  29. the explanations for me, the man who doesnt know a lot about photography, is super deep, but at the same time understandable. But for what does experts thinking about it? Is it superficial?
