In this video I show how I photograph the Milkway. I talk settings, as well as show how to take a Milkyway Panorama. I have tutorials on how to process these astrophotography shots. You can find tutorials as soon as they are up here :www.nickpagephotography.com/tutorials

I live in Switzerland, I really NNEEEEEEED to try night landscape and sky photography. Thank you for your videos !
How do you find the 5DMK4? My MK2 fell over a waterfall cliff and gone forever so I need to upgrade. Was considering the Fuji XT2 but it's a crop sensor,. Your thoughts Nick. Is the MK4 a good replacement?
Really nice Class! Tks. Hugs from México.
noob question but how do you know which way the milky way is
Bloody good video with good laid plan on how to.
BTW, what is the music at the end of the video?
march in to the dark without fear
@nick page : can you also teach how to time lapse milky way in photo mode ? ! 😁😁
Be careful out there man
Great tip for focusing at night!
Stunning pictures.
What the hell is that blinking light at 1:40. He's supposed to be out in the middle of nowhere!!!
aliens confirmed
Will any location works? Or it has to be some particular one?
Hey man Cool Video
But what tripod is that…….It looks bad ass
Thanks in advance
I focus to infinity in the daylight, then tape it down for the night. Keeps my clumsy self from knocking it around too.
Where is this??
Will the 500 rule be too long for a 10mm lense? Its 50 seconds.
Nice! Well done Nick!
The opening song fits so well. Anybody know what it's called?
Very nice sir 🙂
What's the song in the beginning?
Hi Nick,
First of all "awesome video man" 👏
I believe you're from WA right? I think I saw one of your videos were you mentioned that you're from WA state. Anyway, please tell me what is the ideal area to shoot the milkyway on WA? I live in Seattle and as far as I know E WA is the best?!
Also if the milky way is south do I have to go south to shoot it? Or I can still go to a pretty dark spot E WA and point my camera South?
I'd really appreciate it if you answer my questions.
I want that truck!!!! Nick all I want to say is thank you.. you just take the time to explain everything nice and chill👍🏽👍🏽
i shoot with a Nikon D7100 which is crop, and you mention about "keep in mind if you have a crop sensor" .. what am i supposed to keep in mind? like, i have a F2.8 and a 11mm length, so based on 500 rule would be about 45sec. With the whole keep in mind thing. I'm curious if that is right/wrong etc..
also i am from Everett, have friends out in Walla^2. Going to Palouse in a few weeks. Hoping for some good milky shots along with in general hiking during the day.. love your videos.
Loved the final results of that panorama. Nice work.
Thanks for the education this was very helpful.
How can I know where in the horizon the milky way is going to show up?
How bout this iOS noises?
Your milky way videos are the most useful I've found on YouTube! Very good pace and content. Thank you so much for posting them.
Were the images you had displayed during the video post processed or not?
I found a canon 28mm, f2.8 manual focus wide angle…would that work for my canon t6i for starting out with astrophotography?
I deffinitly want to find an area around here where i can get away from light pollution and play around with some night/astrophotography. Im new to Washington and live near Olympia. Thank you for this video, it helps a ton.
If the stars will move after just 30 seconds exposure, how did u manage to take 11 30 second exposures and line it up?
Rediculously cool mate, awesome tips. Not sure they will work over here in the U.K. (London) but stunning shots pal. J
brilliant video Nick
