This video shows a collaborative tutorial with YouTube Channel Jayanam on how to create a simple stylized Turret from scratch. You will learn how to model a stylized turret using Autodesk Maya, learn how to UV the model and sculpt it in Zbrush. After that, learn how to texture the model with Substance Painter. Through this video you will also learn how to rig, skin, and animated the model within Maya.

W- move
E- rotate
R- scale
G- repeat last command
q – exit tool
b- soft selection
shift + . – grow selection
alt + b – change background color
f – fit to selection
ctrl + a – open attribute editor/channel box
ctrl + delete – deletes an edge loop( 2014 version and up only)
1 – standard mode
2- subdivision mode with cage
3- subdivision mode
4- wireframe
5 – shaded mode
6- texture mode

    i'm using these orb brushes in 4r8 but right now m using 4r7-p3 and some orb brushes are missing i mean " error has been encountered while trying to load brush preset " getting that error, really need your help please.

  2. I love this so much. Its actually kinda ASMR esque for me as well as super helpful. 🙂 Been recently following the techniques you use to try and improve my modelling before I go into my 4th year of uni cause I don't want to suck 😅

  3. well i followed your tutorial but i could not get the same results. It looked good in the substance painter but when i imported in unity 3d, there were some serious problems with softness and hardness of the seams, weird reflections.

  4. why do you unwrap every piece like this??? why not making an auto unwrap? especially for parts like this that are really cubic
    And you are using substance painter so an auto unwrap is good for it…
