  1. oh man, wicked, finally found a great tutorial series for blender. I want to make a 3d animated minecraft character (the one from my avatar) that presents my channel, hope this will help me realize it : Subbed to you. Lets get started 🙂

  2. I'm not sure if I suck at aiming the mouse or what's up, but I can't seem to select the rotating "hula hoops" when using that tool. Is there a trick to it? I keep moving the cross-hairs around.

  3. for an absolute beginner, there is no better tutorial series on YouTube than this. I've seen other tutorial videos where the tutor will ramble and mutter and introduce various asides ("don't do this, I'm just showing you"), then undo it all to get back on track, and then suddenly click a dozen things in rapid succession without clearly explaining what just happened. Usually you can figure out what happened by re-watching the sequence several times, but BornCG does none of that. Every keystroke and mouse click is explained very clearly in a linear fashion from beginning to end.
That said, it doesn't hurt to follow other tutorials too: There are many different ways to achieve a desired result and it's useful to see how different tutors do it, but again, if you're new to 3d modeling then BornGC's tutorials are certainly the best place to start.
Great stuff. +1 with 3d knobs on.

  4. Thanks for posting these tutorials!I just turned seventeen and I wanted to work on animation as a hobby for scientific studies. And this video is brilliant! You speak so clearly your instructions are so easy to understand, I can't wait to see more tutorials!

  5. Excellent tutorials! I am new to Blender and I like your style very much.
I am sorry if you had been asked and answered this question before…. What software do you use to create your tutorials? Looks very nice and this feature of showing mouse and numpad keys is very helpful.

    Thanks in advance!

  6. Very nice, but I think you should have added that when using S, G or R, you can also press X,Y and Z to lock the transformation to that axis and press it a second time to switch between object-bound axis and space-bound axis.

  7. Hello. I just wanted to say that though I just finished my first video after having started a very long while ago because of massive amounts of procrastination, I found the video amazing and enormously helpful and I have no doubt the coming videos will just as awesome 😀
I had question, once I have selected an object (camera/lights/mesh) using my right click button is there any way of de-selecting the selected object?
Once again thanks for the awesome tutorial and tutorials I'll hopefully go through. Cheers :3

  8. How were you able to leave the screencast keys enabled on start up in Blender? I see it is already sitting there at the lower left hand corner of the 3d view port when you first start Blender and still had the splash screen up. Thank you so much, this is a great series, I am learning so much.

  9. You are so awesome. The effort you have put into this is pretty amazing. That you are sharing your hard work for free is great. I cant tell you how much I appreciate your efforts. Thanks a lot. Im going to do every lesson.
