Blender 2.8 PBR Texturing for Beginners

This is a #Blender 2.8 PBR texturing tutorial for beginners and I show the very basics of texturing a simple mesh (plane).

I use 3 textures: Albedo, Normalmap, Roughness that I downloaded from this page for free:
https://www.textures.com/download/pbr0423/137929

I added the textures to a Principled Shader in the shader editor to create a PBR material for the model.

I display the texture in Eevee realtime renderer and also show how to play with the roughness using a color ramp to make the material look like it’s wet.

  1. Thank you for your small but informative tutorial and for displaying the buttons, the mouse.

A tutorial on the projection of View (Borders)? would be really nice ! 🌺

I have just subscribed to your page. 😎

  2. Hey, thanks for the video! But, how do I apply this to a brush so I can paint these textures on certain parts of an object? What if I want bricks on the sides of a building and metal roofing on the roof? Can I paint each to their respective locations? Thanks.

  3. For 2.8, Andrew Price was there for six years. I learned all about it. And now nothing to be found since 2.8 And then I found you! This is the first video I have seen of you now. I just saw that you made a lot more. Thanks! We can continue to make even better animation. Thank you again! Greetings from the Netherlands. Cindy

  4. What's the simplest way to tile these kinds of square planes in blender? Or to apply them to fill out a mesh? I'm following older tutorials that seem to cover methods that no longer exist/work. Haven't found a comprehensive workaround yet.
