In this video I go over hair particles once more in a 1 hour albeit rushed video of different workflows for approaching hair. Sorry about the delays.

Hey, I was always wondering about horizontal eyeball orientation. I see your eyes are kind of tilted forward and seem a little higher up, and I always see people putting them dead center and I always questioned how realistic this is.
Do you have any references or tips that can help me get a realistic orientation besides simply copying what I'm seeing in your model here? Thanks loads in advance, MasterXeon!
Btw, this video is awesome. I usually think of you as "that robot guy" no offense, but it's really great seeing some organic stuff, and that's probably a lot of my fault not searching for videos though which I'll need to look up soon.
I have a serious problem after I duplicate and seperate the hair base it puts the duplicate at an offset 45 degree angle and it cant be altered what the fuck?
how do you get those nodes at 12:00
It took me far too long to find this, solid info, cheers for the tips!
Good tutorial. I've been having problems getting the particle system set up, this got me over the hump.
can you do a hair tutorial for the sims 4?
This was exactly what I've been looking for. Had no idea how to go about modeling hair. Thanks!
Wow. I love this video. I keep watching and re-watching because there is so much to absorb.

I need some help here. in the beginning when he's making the pane extend and have new pieces. How is he doing that?
[Shift + R] > THANK YOU. I didn't even realize that command existed!
for noobs this just confuses me..idek how to get that head model and into what you are doing….surprisingly this is the only video i found on making a hair from scratch. HELP
Your trying to use a transparent shader for the scalp didn’t work possibly because you didn’t set the shader colour to full white.
share with us more off topics like these. Awesome Ideas and content!
Thank you so much for that video! I loved the off topics bits at the end, too. Watch a video about hair, learn how to fly a helicopter! 🙂
I have converted the hair in the modifiers tab and it stoped rendering. i did it because i was following another tutorial but i didn't realise it was made for exporting later to maya. is there a way to solve this or do i have to do all over again?
I have a question: How do you make the skin hair not go through the model?
This is the most useful blender tutorial. Can you please make a video going more into the controls you're using? I'm quite new to blender and don't know how to navigate much
What are your hardware specs? Whenever I comb hair I get lots of lag. Yours is really smooth. Do you have an Nvidia graphics card? Intel processor?
youre Amazing!!! thanx a LOT for this tutorial ^_^
please, I'm an african guy and I need to make characters that have hairs like mine – short thick black hair like the black americans. I can't seem to find tutorial on hair like that. what do you suggest I do?
after entering Particle edit mode my vertex groups will no longer work as yours did.. any suggestions? Blender 2.75
forgot the use modifier stack check box in the particle options
Good tutorial ,but didn't understand about the shrinkwrap.
Great help. Thanks a bunch!
I need to learn how to create new 1920's through 1940's hair for DAZ characters, mainly Genesis and Victoria 4..
Its hard to follow. please make another tutorial. step by step.
Is that possible if you export the hair, it can be open in Daz Studio? please answer me. thanks.
This is too hard to follow for someone who has never used Blender before, you keep clicking all this stuff without saying what you're doing. Total loss for me. I need Blender for dummies I guess.
I really like your training I am looking at 3D animation to start my training with my store mannequins doing fashion designing. I have them talking but now I want to add movement to them and interact in green screen. Right at this time hair is my problem so I am going to try this when I get a chance. Check out fashiontossedsalad.com and then click fashion design training then this page will take you to my fictitious design school on fashion. Let me know what you think Thanks Robert

Thanks 4 the video. but pls can you make a tutorial. about how to make Dread locks? got a game project and stuck on my rasta girl caracter.
Thank you for your video, it really helped me out and showed me a lot of different things. Very in-depth. Glad it wasn't a speed video.
Love this video, I've noticed the more I use blender the more my computer is starting to fail. Particle hair seems to have broken my graphics card.
Just curious when you say you'll have to unwrap your plain hair and polygon hairs know of any tutorials on that? Or where to find 'em Youtube seems to be lacking.
I am still a Blender noob, but I love this video it helped me out SO much! Do you have anything on retopography? I am struggling to get my faces as smooth and beautiful as yours in this video.
that nurbs hair,… you can add a soft body fysics to a nurbs, add colission to (some?) hair.. might be interesting.
Hi; what is the preferred method for making a 3D printable (stl) hair?… Including long animal fur. A dedicated video perhaps?
can i also start with a curve>besizer? and if i build my hair with the curve in the end do i unfold or uvmap for texture?
