In this Blender 3D course you will learn hands-on techniques including how to model, shade and render an outdoor/tropical island scene that includes water, sand, trees, and a seaplane flying overhead.
Tasks you will learn include:
Modeling, texturing, and shading the tropical island
Creating and shading the water
Creating trees through the use of particles
Animating the sea plane using the graph editor tool
Lighting the scene to create realistic highlights and shadows
Optimizing your composition for efficient final rendering
At the end of the course you will have a good understanding of the Blender workflow because you will have made a complete Blender 3D scene from beginning (modeling and shading), to middle (rendering), to end (composition).
Materials Included: the course is a series of videos. You’ll also use the free Blender 3D which you can download from the Blender Foundation website.

if I wanted to make a bigger scene. Would I scale up once the land/island was all done? I have the biggest issue with real world scale and creating big scenes
Are you serious you replied to a stupid comment, but not to one that is asking an important question
Good job, helped me a lot. A like from Brazil (:
There is no "round cube" menu under mesh in vanilla Blender. Googling I found references to a round cube addon, but it would be appreciated if you explained to us how you got it yourself.
First 🙂 Is this J.L.?
