A few months back I had to work out compositing with multiple render layers and it was such a struggle to get this effect. https://flic.kr/p/21Dm1mm
I wish I had this tutorial before that, exclude, mask layer! So obvious when shown how to use them 🙂
Thanks Sardi for the info! The separate layers part of the video was most interesting to me. So what you are showing is that one can set different render settings for each layer, if I am following you correctly. I have several projects that could use this, and frankly, I have always used a single layer for render. I suppose because of ignorance to what you have shown. Might you have used a 'fast gaussian' on the spot light to remove the noise?
