Sprinkle Particles just float outside the icing
The obama sprinkles jokes had me rolling, funny how trump might actually ban sprinkles 🙁
ILY PAPI SMD
12:28 when i go into edit mode i dont get the edges selected, i pressed Alt+H and now i cant zoom in anymore.
I am having floating sprinkles on the icing, how do I fix that?
when i render the particles as the cylinder.001 aka sprinkles, it places 70% of the sprinkles on one side and theyre not even close to being on the icing. I went back and re-did the process multiple times and got the exact same results. Pls help.
LOL at the Obama sprinkle ban, his chance to implement it has passed but I wish he'd tried it. Also that's a pretty decent impression for someone who speaks deformed aussie english.
Advanced changes the type of the particle system to one that is more complex which means it will use up more processing power. As a general rule, and this goes for everything not only for particles, don't go around switching systems to higher forms of complexity when their default is set to a more basic form, unless you really need to; developers usually create such form toggling options because more often than not a simpler form of an object (in programming) means less memory usage and less cycles required during processing. This is especially important in particles where each particle has its own object instance, memory space and processing cycles need.
I like my donught without sprinkles.
You do realize that youve left meters mode on since episode 5, and your cup and donut are like 7 meters
Hey Guru, when I hide the model sprinkles, the sprinkles on the doughnut disappear as well. I couldn't catch any short-key or anything different in the tutorial. Can you help? Thanks.
BTW, awesome channel. My daughter and I are on our way to creating our first game. Thanks again!
(This is almost 6 months after I learned blender) I ended up using this to make an army of evil robotic minions! xD
I wanted the skip this tutorial because it was long, but I'm thankful I didn't.
what type of photoshop is this?
Greetings and thank you for the tutorial ;o} I have a question … I've done my sprinkles (diamonds actually) on a floor but the particles are 1/2 way into the floor plane. How do I have my diamonds sit ON the floor and not IN the floor? Answers appreciated! Thanks again!
Dammit man I love your vids but you keep hiding the controls
re: Banning Sprinkles – oh man, I could totally see Trump doing something like that. He'd blame Mexicans or Muslims or some shit. Also, I totally did a double-take at "looks like a bunch of pussies"
when you were talking about the ban of sprinkles , I kept trying to keep my mouth shut since everybody was sleeping lols
my icing does not render after i add particle effects. when i remove particles it renders fine.
The shift + z shortcut does not work for me. Instead it takes me to 'tracing'? I've had problems with a few of the shortcuts used in these videos but can't seem to find any answers online. If anyone has fixed a similar issue I'd appreciate some help!
XD XD…min 28:03 he was this close to duplicate this sh*t
When I go to make the sprinkles into particles, it seems to float around the mesh unlike Andrew's. Help please.
All I've been thinking about for hours have been "Doughnuts." I wan't one so bad now.
literally doing everything you said to make them change color… wont change color stays the same as original. maybe my version is newer and they removed the feature
When I am in rendered mode I can see the sprinkles on the top, but when I hit F12 it renders without any sprinkles. Any idea what is happening?
WHY ARE MY SPRINKLES FLOATING IN MID AIR SOMEONE HELP MEEEE!!
I accidentally made a donut with mug-shaped sprinkles…
Can anyone tell me why my sprinkles look so bad when rendered ? Was any subsurf applied ? I only added "smooth shading" for the 8 faced cylinder that was shown in this tutorial.
Is there a reason to use the mirror modifier over Symmetrize (in the Mesh menu)? Or vice versa?
Is there any possibility to randomize the size of the sprinkles only in one axis? Doing that would make creating new different sized sprinkles unnecessary.
Thx
My icing is all messed up :S I changed the offset all the way as well just like the video. I'm not sure what to fix. The inside of the icing is clipping into the donut and doesn't look right.
I had selected the frosting to apply the sprinkles, but it keeps putting them on the donut. Help?
I seriously love your tutorials. I go back and redo.
You never dull me out.
But, I have to pause you now and sleep.
Keep up the good work and thanks.
When I change the hair to the sprinkles my blender immediatly closes …Please I Need Help
Hey hey, I have another question. I have two doughnuts and I wanted one with those heart shaped 'sprinkles' (I dont know what they are called) but well, how can I make them all lay flat on the icing?
i take ages to do the weight paint because i click then wait 5 min for it to load
this torchure
You didn't mention the police raids that would ensue by the federal ban on sprinkles.
"Here you go, kids! cupcakes fresh from the oven!"
((DOOR CHARGE BLAST))
SWAT FILLS THE ROOM
"GET DOWN ON THE GROUND! DROP THE SPRINKLES RIGHT NOW!"
I like the way, you pause and drink from your mug 😀
Definetly unique
I've followed your instructions but once I've completed creating all the sprinkles they are still just floating above the donut, not sprinkled on like the first 2 I made
my frosting disappears in render! Please help!
Thanks sooo much Andrew! Your tutorials are awesome! I have been watching your advanced stuff for a long time now and this is my first tutorial that I actually finished! <img style=”width:380px;” src=”https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5zH9_XR7qKudFBZTkpSSzdLLTA” alt=”Completed Doughnut Scene” />
