Been looking for a good basic guide for this. One sugestion: you might find it easier to position the individual pieces of your larger objects if you do it in orthographic mode, and then switch to perspective to get the view right. Hard to find a good new tutorial. I'm new to blender and I'm now getting used to it. I found it easier to make flat faces as wall plan and then extrude in face edit.
