Concise is not a useful word of his vocabulary. He drones on about the dots for quite awhile. Just tell me the solution.
well i dont have surface menu what do i do than?
Thanks for your excellent quick and useful tutorial.
Thank you for Sharing your Blender file !
When I open your file, Hyperfocal_Blender_HDRI.blend it all looks like what your video looks like. Why is my blender startup file fouled up ?
I Bring in the hdri just as you did but mine acts like I am zoomed way way way in like I can only see 1" of a cloud. I move the view around and the sky goes away to black. All the other hdri that I bring in its the same. NI am using the VHDRI_Cloudy04_HyperfocalDesign.exr image. I am doing something wrong. I tried to set my scale to metric but no diff
Thank you!
why is the world black under the texture that we put when we are in the rendering view?
THK S QUICK AND USEFULL
ty!
Thank you. Finally someone who made this simple! 😀
I have been testing out the free hrdi from the link provided, but Blender on my computer crashes every time. Has anyone else experienced this?
When I add the image texture it doesn't light up the world like it does on yours.
Doesn't work. Actually, nothing ive tried has made the image show up in render. I can see the reflections though, but the world is black.
Thanks man useful.
hey is there any other way to get your free HDRI? sorry my cpy keeps blocking your site for some reason???
What should the HDRI image size be?
Its a shame cycles doesnt have a ray switcher like Mental ray. they overcame this problem by using 2 maps. 1 blurred for lighting and 1 unblurred for reflection rays. although that said i dont know if cycles distinguishes the 2 ray types (being my physically modelled)
Thanks.. 🙂
Great tutorial, thank you kindly!
You have fireflies because you didn't adjust the Clamp value. Set it to 0.95 and that will clear them up. It's under the sample settings.
Also, the fireflies are not related to HDR lighting, they're related to the physical renderer. They occur on any kind of lighting (HDR, point, spot, etc).
