Thx m8
What if we don't have a flat image? What do we do then? Like if i want to model an artwork that isn't flat; what do i do?
thank you
My picture isn't showing up?
When I open the image, it doesn't show up. And yes, I have "Background images" checked. Any advice?
Thanks bro! Helped me alot more than deez 1 hour long tutorials.
Thanks
I opened the image but its not showing in Blender
Man why couldn't I find this 4 hours ago lol
I get more knowledge from these quick modeling tutorials than a 4 hour long video with countless tweaking.
TYVM friend!
so when I select the image file nothing comes up. It is just the same blank grey workspace no reference.
EDIT: Nevermind I am retarded, I forgot to check the background Images check box…
Thanks Everything UT Sun, helpful.
Great :D. This is very helpful so thank you so much :3.
very good video… i learned more in 7 mins than in my whole 10th grade school year.

thank you SOOOO much man ive literally watched 30 tutorials that were all 20-40 minutes long, not only were you quick but easy to understand.
is it posibble to round the corners?
its a fairly good tutorial but u said all the keys wrong like c instead of shift and sometimes a instead of e and stuff…
I have no idea if you frequent youtube or this video anymore but I had a question. Reference modelling works well for me except one thing, when i begin to extrude, rather than having the 3D shape that my base cube had, they are all flat. I know I can just scale it out to normal, but is there a setting that just makes it work as it should from the beginning?
how do you rotate it
thanks made sense
nicee tutorial good job!
Thanks a lot man, this helped a lot, was searching for a reference tutorial but didn't know this technique was called like that, again thanks
Great tutorial thanks man 🙂
when i go into 3d view, the vertasies are all falt e_e they have no top, there all on the bottom, and i cant tell wich vertesies are top bottom or side,
THANK YOU THANK YOU TAHNK YOU! iv been looking all over the internet on how to model of a reference, and all ic outdent find was interface tutorials tolls and how to model specific stuff, it drove me mad and i kept giving up, could you also possibly make a tutorial on how to uv map? like add textures to models o-o i dont have the slightest clue and would appreciate it, i see speed modeling videos where they just use the reference as the texture, like a cookie cutter tool,
Which version of blender are you using
@Gamerweazel Thanks, if you need any other tutorials or have any ideas just let us know! thanks
very "to-the-point" you are great at explaining
