He said "show you how" but not "ensure you understand and can follow." He's too fast and making assumptions that people can't follow. If you can't follow, it makes you wonder what's the point in making it.

waa i thought of monster hunter world.
Stucked at the beginning.When I entered the text and entered into edit mode and pressed 'U' for UV mapping,it adds the letter 'U' but not the UV editor.What's the solution.The cursor is always displayed in the edit mode.

Rendering Cycles so slow. What if i use speedhack using cheatengine instead? Can really make it fast?

I've been training for over 20 years and as it has been pointed out a few times before, if you want to capture and audience and teach them something amazing, you need to slow down and explain with precision what and how do things. Nonetheless, pretty amazing work.

A huge tip that helped me follow along: go to settings and change the speed to 0.5 or 0.75.
A couple of things I had trouble finding: at 17:58 "Ray Visibility" is on the "Cycles Settings" tab in blender 2.77. At 29:05 press ''V'', to access "Set Keyframe Handle Type" and set to ''Vector''.
how do I find the layer section in blender 2.78c?
Sometimes when I follow along with things. I have a piece of paper, just to write down the confusing parts. The nodes are a headache, but easier to understand when you write them down. Even if it takes a few pages since he adds nodes in between.

lost it at VMlighting my version has render layers in a seperate area and no matter what i did i couldnt get it to work. damn shame been at for the whole day!!

More feedback….Very near to completing this now (in 2.78c). This was very difficult to follow, probably due to different software versions. Still having minor issues but overall am very happy with my version of this. It's a great tutorial and with perseverance it can be done. I really enjoyed doing this and I learned a lot about blender during the agonising week (yes week!) it took me to get to the near final completed version. Looking forward to starting the next one!

After several attempts I am now at 47:30 and am stuck….again…My current version (2.78) doesn't have the option of 'indexOB' on the render layers panel in order to link up with the ID mask to separate the text from the background. Any ideas on how to get around this?
