    I tink that is better also use nodes for Internal Render than duplicate the materials and change the material of the objetct (or each part of it) all the time
    So in that way you just want to change the Render Engine

  2. i wish cycles would support GLSL, because it is easier to model that way. In Live Render mode you cannot properly model, since you cannot see what you selected, nor grid lines, axis lines,and so on, but most importantly: it takes time to render
