This is the first in a two part Blender video series that demonstrates how to make a Vintage Microphone. A new add-on called Mesh: Tissues is used to help make the microphone screen. Blender version 2.79 is used for this tutorial. This video shows techniques that may be helpful to beginners and intermediate users.

  1. I am fairly new to blender and I'm trying to do the same honeycomb mesh but for a rectagular mic (something like an aea-r44). How can I straighten the mesh after the Tissue Tools -> Dual Mesh step since I cannot rotate?

  2. the 5th project im doing with ur tutorials. first i made the wood carving text, then the glossy text, then the realistic chain, then the colliding planets and now this ๐Ÿ™‚ your tutorials are amazing

  3. Just to let you know the result of this tutorial became my screen saver at work. My colleges where impressed with how good this software is. The tutorial I did of the robo-dog animation ended up on my Facebook page with many praises, thanks so much. I look forward to more videos from you!

  4. Your voice is so steady and relaxing. I am always able to recreate your creations in Blender with out fault. You are so specific no matter the difficulty and also very reassuring.
