This is the second in a two part Blender video series that demonstrates how to make a Vintage Microphone. The new Principled shader is used for the materials. Blender version 2.79 is used for this tutorial. This video shows techniques that may be helpful to beginners and intermediate users.
This video uses the new Denoising feature that was added to Blender in version 2.79. Here is a link to a video that I made on the topic.

Amazing work
I have just opened Blender and came here to find out how to drive it. What a powerful beast it is! Love the 2 videos, thank you very much.
Your pace of talking is awesome; you really guide people hand in hand to the goal. Great job
I learnt so many great tips from this. Thanks a lot 🙂
Well another incredible bundle of sorcery, patience and extraordinary articulation! You have taught me much of what I know about Blender, I am grateful to you for that! Thank you!

I enjoyed doing this tutorial a lot but was disappointed when in the final F12 render there was no material in the filter and you could just see straight through the screen even though in render mode I could see it fine…….Looked and looked for a solution but nothing made sense…….maybe someone has an idea?
Nice Tutorial.
I'm starting do to things now just by listening to the video not looking as often anymore. I freakin love you tutorials. Easy to follow, informative and greatly paced.
How does he know the exact coordinates to place or scale every object. I'm sure he tests this before making the video, but how does he figure it out?
As always, thank you for the excellent tutorial! I used the skills outlined in this tutorial in the re-creation of a D104 microphone. Check it out: https://smials.weebly.com/d104-silver-eagle.html

Dude you are absolutely amazing. Probably the best instructor I have found with all the investments I have made in Blender. You are extraordinarily efficient and an absolute master at this tool. I would gladly pay you to make more videos. I think you should have your own courses on Udemy and other places. I really appreciate how clear and precise and helpful your videos are. If you would be willing to take requests or become a private tutor for me (ha ha) let me know. I mean it. Anyways I subscribed and I would love to throw some money your way. Let me know what I can so to show my appreciation.
Been a Blender enthusiast for many years, and I must say, this tutorial was absolutely superb. I enjoyed watching and listening while I worked along and my result was almost exact. I learned some new techniques that I will certainly be using in future projects (Bridge Edge Loops, Ctrl + L. Click to control extrusion!, Select Like Polygon), and this provided a wonderful example of using the new Principle shader. Please keep posting, I will certainly be watching for more! Thank you!
Can this be done in 3ds Max? How?
Great tutorial as always!! Appreciate your work. here's an advice. when applying the same material to many objects you can apply the material to one object and then use link connection (Object>Make Links…>Materials) to assign the material to other objects at a time. the object that had the material assigned needs to be active(last selected). Thank you, and please continue to make tutorials!!!
Thanks for fantastic tutorial 😉 maybe its time to create smth like orc? or dwarf? 😀
Wow. You are just brilliant. I learn so much with each tutorial. Thank you.
I cant thank you enough for all the knowledge I have gained from watching your videos, I love how easy it is to understand and follow along your videos and I really hope you keep making Blender videos.
You make the most excellent Blender tutorials, keep up the awesome work.
You always do such a great job with your tutorials. Thank you so much for the time and effort you put in to help the rest of us!
