Blender Tutorial: Modeling Cables with Grease Pencil

A quick tutorial on how to quickly model cables or wires using the grease pencil in Blender. It is ridiculously easy to model what was once a very time-consuming, frustrating, difficult task in Blender. It is actually fast and fun in Blender.

The same technique can be used to model noodles, string, rope, etc. The wires can also be parented to an object and be auto animated with the soft body dynamics OR you can apply the soft body modifier (by clicking “apply” on the soft body modifier).

Use a mix shader (part Glass and part emission for a cool fiber optics effect).
