In this tutorial I go into some detail on the many settings available when rendering with the Blender Cycles engine and also, provide a few tips and tricks for optimizing things like render time.

This was a great tutorial.
Excellent tutorial! You shed a lot of light on obscure features which I had no clue how to set. I'm pretty sure I'll have to watch this tutorial over and over again before rendering because the amount of information is very extensive but concise. Thank You!
how to speed up cycle render???
hey when I used cyclic render and after animating it, it produces blank video…
what should I do…
Nice Tutorial! To the point and clear!
awesome voice
Complete package! wow!
Suddenly my renders which used to take around 45 seconds to a minute are taking around twenty minutes. What could possibly be causing this?
thanks 😡
Is it possible to make realistic renders with Blender Render , and if so, how?
Hello Sardi PAx. I'v got a probleme with some little white pixels… look at this image. http://prntscr.com/dpei71
I turned on, reflectives caustics and refractive caustics… i don't know what to do 🙁
So what's your tips plz… ?
Great tutorial, thanks! 😀
another very well done video! Right to the point as usual and you describe things very well, even though you move a bit too fast sometimes. I learned a lot. Thank you Sir!
Hello, I need to know where I find this WIndow section which pops up at 21:04 where you have the shading options. I searched for about 20 min.
A lot to learn here. Thanks for a very useful tutorial.
excellent thank you. Just started using blender for Mac, been a 3DSMax user for a long time and interested to see it's features. Great intro
Having watched many instructional videos on YouTube, I want to compliment you on your style of speech and delivery as it is very clear, informative, understandable and direct. It's exactly how all instructional videos should be. To the point, focused and quick. Well done!
Paused the video at about 6 minutes to like and subscribe. Full of juicy info-morsels. 😀
I would appreciate if you slowed down so as a novice it would be easier to follow. At this rate it just sounds like aädfgökjaörflgjfradlökgjöar ljm
gpu doesnt look the same for me with glass . the quality is much lower
Excellent!! Please keep making videos.. I have one question too.. Do you have any interest in making any Unity videos? or videos of Blender that support making a character for unity? Thanks a lot again for your videos.. I'll make sure I'll like them all.. and I've already subscribed.
thank for sharing.
good Lesson
well, that was good enuf to subscribe.
Very helpful ! Thanks a lot.
How do you make the refractive caustics focus the light into an area, as in the "Caustics ON" image at 4:19? My refractive caustics occasionally cause noise, but not like that. I am using Blender v2.77a.
好棒啊!希望能有关一些珠宝的渲染更好了!
Sandi .. Thank you for your earlier reply. I continue to watch your tutorials. You have helped me learn so much so quickly. I knew zero a couple months ago. Never used an animation program before. Here is one of my first attempts:

Still pretty raw and unsophisticate, but will continue to refine and add to this. I am doing it as an info for a friend's website. She has a killer Thai restaurant in the Vancouver area called Thai Box 2 Go.
Cheers,
Hi. Thank you for all your tutorials! I am learning alot! I have one request. I am trying to learn how to render out shadowpasses and ao to composite an object on top of an image or movie but haven´t been able to find one. I have looked at them all but for it seems everyone has a different method and noone has worked for me thus far. Your tutorials are very clear and calm so I was hoping perhaps you could make one? It would save my life and mental health.
Thanks a lot.
What are your system specs?
very nice tuto, thank you
I am complete rookie to BLENDER. A month into it now. Slowly learning the lingo and terms. Although most of what you were talking about it is foreign and completely over my head your explanation was clear and precise. Will come back and watch a few more times to watch and take notes.
What specs should I have for a new computer? Assuming price is no object then what do you recommend?
Thank you.
great work!
excellent video.
Brilliant! Thanks a lot!
thanks Sardi, you cleared up a lot of questions I had about rendering, I tended to concentrate way to much on learning modelling skills, clearly forgetting that if you cannot output correctly then you'll never be able to showcase your work using the best quality settings possible.
thanks for your tutorials. here my first one… linked you for tutorials 😉 if thats oke by you

was project 2 the first one made blender crash when I render. thanks for the tutorials!
great blender basics overview! thank you
rendering was this complicated??
the border option is missing in my blender @_@ 🙁 and I have 2.76
For me on blender it does not have device cpu device why.
#FRAME !!!!!!!! I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BEST AT THE END !!!! 🙂
Gr8 Job man!
I don't seem to have the choice of GPU or CPU render? Is there somewhere to turn this on?
should you use bvh cache for fluid simulation?
Don't disable caustics!
Use filter glossy instead to blur your caustics. Disabling caustics causes some nasty-ass energy loss and dark-spots in the scene
Great tutorial. Thanks for sharing.
Yes short tutorial 😀
Wow nice Sardi!
This really helped me alot. especially how the clamping and caustics works!
Never thought you would do my suggestion so i thank you alot, this is awesome.
Keep up the good work man.
Thanks again!
