In the style of Pixar’s “Cars” and “Planes”, here’s a tutorial series on creating a vehicle in a stylized manner. In this part, we begin modeling the basic head/body shape.

I tried following this as a beginner it was way to fast
A Tongue and Teeth for a submarine? A little too realistic.
Quality tutorial definitely for serious modelers
Loved it! Thank you very much!
Ok, i must be doing something wrong cause every time I do Shift and Z it goes into rendered mode. Help! lol! And this is at the beginning at 5:26

The video with the overheated car, I can't see how you created that one. This is mainly because I saw this in the DVD extras for Cars the movie.
I love your Tutorials Dave, easy to follow and so instructional but a bit more of your time Sir, if possible, redo the "Overheated" car tutorial with animations for us, Please?!
Edit: Never mind I just read some of your responses back in July. Sorry, I'm a greedy cus. I'll just have to think for myself and find the appropriate Blueprints. Outstanding Work Sir. as we say in the AF a lot 😛 Thanks for all you do do!
Cars and Planes are not Pixar style; it's Disney style
Looking forward to following this one!:) Ps: a Q. about the Tim Character Im borrowing!:) I have now animated and everything is done. When I render, the hair is there… on the character, but not in the reflection in the piano. In the reflection he is bold :p … Thought Id ask and see if you had a solution? 🙂
Just finished following along with part 1, absolutely awesome tutorial so far, can't wait to do part 2!
Thank you for not leaving us David, I'm really looking forward to seeing your new technique for the eyes.
