Blender3D Watercolor Effect Node

Code Canyon

Namito111 made a very good watercolor effect using blender3d render nodes. I download the blend file and modify it a bit to render a watercolor style tree.

The nodes setup is very easy to understand. Basically, it is divided into 3 main section:
– texture displace/distort the render
– texture with “screen” blend mode to simulate color wash/fade
– blur render and “divide” blend mode to simulate watercolor wet edge

I added in a “magic” texture to add in color variation.

This is very very good. Since I've seen an animation in watercolor style a couple of years ago I've been looking for a way to reproduce this shader in blender. But nothing was close enough.
Your final result looks very artistic and the workflow seems smart. Will give a big try on this.
    Thanks a lot for sharing.

This is something I've been looking for for a while, I wonder how much play I could get on detail now, for what I have in mind, I'd like the character to be able to notice bark, or a small level of detail on the leaves up close. Not a lot, but I hope I explained that right.

Was there two different objects in that tree?
