    I have a question it might be stupid, I'm just learning bootstrap and was wondering. Do I have to copy the css part on bootstrap cdn. Or can I use my own style.css sheet like normal ?

    I've been binge-watching a lot of your tutorials (mostly at work, whoops) and enjoyed this Bootstrap framework series.

    I know you've probably had a lot of requests already, but would you be able to do a series on "Materialize CSS"? Seeing as you work for Google, I thought this might be quite appropriate. I've had a quick look into MaterializeCSS, but not had a proper chance to try it out in anger.

    I thought a series from you would be super-helpful, and hopefully useful to others.

  24. I would love to see a series on the "NKOTB" (New Kid on the Block – you know you loved them, we all did! ), anyways, it's materializecss.com. It's all based off of and created by "Google, Material Design" they just released recently.聽

  26. Travis, I wish to start Bootstrap project. What workflow can you recommend? Jade+Sass processed by CodeKit? How I can create special folder for ftp sending onto server? I mean concatenation, minification of my development files.

    Or it is better to use some yeoman generator for it?

    Love your YouTube channel. 聽Lots of great content and you're a fantastic host. 聽I'm hoping what I'm about to say may lead to a larger discussion. 聽First, my background. 聽I've been a software recruiter for over 20 years. During that time I've seen a lot of technology come down the pipeline and more than my share of trends. 聽That said, one trend I've seen is the heavy reliance on frameworks and tool sets by new developers. 聽This has become increasingly prevalent in the past five years. 聽For instance, rarely do I not come across a junior front-end developer (e.g., three years or less of experience in my book) claiming to be an 'expert' at Javascript, yet has confused 聽it with jQuery, or believes they are one in the same. 聽I say this because when I send out code exercises specifically asking for a JS solution, they send it back using jQuery. 聽Then I end up explaining the differences using a few examples of my own and they think I don't know what I'm talking about. LOL. 聽 And the <div> soup today is scary. 聽For instance, when I send out HTML/CSS exercises, I frequently get the HTML back using some sort of grid system buried in a sea of <div> tags when I specifically asked for HTML5 using current semantic markup. 聽

    聽I guess my question is, do you see a hazard in developers getting 'too hooked' on tools that offer a lot of shortcuts to reduce development time? 聽Is there a danger in losing the fundamentals, not learning them at all, or even properly? 聽Also, at what point in a developers career would you say is the 'right' time to pick up a development tool (e.g., Bootstrap. jQuery, etc.)?

    Again, great show, and I look forward to many more videos. 聽Also, I know I may have hit a few hot buttons for some readers. 聽Please, let's keep the comments civil.聽

  40. Ok… Yeah… I love you man, but… Well… I had my hopes up, but don't know the other stuff you're using- I'm a beginner. I think I could follow along a lot better if the other stuff was handled as a branch…. Fantastic concept, but It's like a lesson on finding stars when I don't know how to use the telescope…
