  1. "Interesting but takes half the fun out of doing the work yourself."

Why? What if you want to place someone into a virtual environment (with moving camera) that you only have a photo of? Sounds quite useful to me.

  2. Learning basics is the best way to not learn anything at all.
That's because it's boring and you can quickly lose your motivation.
The better idea is to start from intermediate projects and search those basic infos just when they are needed.

  3. I always wanted to learn Blender , but i just cannot get to it , i no longer can use Wings 3D since it is really outdated .
Could never get any good tuts and basically somehow i just cannot digest Blender UI

  4. But typically it's not that easy to find on that's good. So many of the people who does tutorials like those do not know what they're talking about or is just bad at explaining stuff… at least in my experience :O

  5. They have print out shortcut key sheets that show the keyboard layout, look through different ones on Google, not all of them are very detailed and some are for older versions and missing keys but they do have some complete ones.

  6. TRY the ones from "tutor4you" he has some excellent basic tutorials (he explains really well everything!… and you could learn basic stuff and what is best by the end of a tutorial you will be making something good…

  7. just look it up elsewhere. I agree with lotsalote. There are plenty of tutorials on blenders basic, but not enough on the advanced stuff that andrew does. So if your having problems following then you should probably start somewhere else that's easier than come back here when you've advanced.
