    Thanks for clarifying u CANNOT add vertices to cluster in Paint Cluster Weights did not see this in some other tuts, and it's not obvious since in Paint Skin Weights you CAN add.

    This is exactly what I wanted to know. I'm new to animation in maya and when I watched other tutorial, the author did exactly what you did with the cluster, joint and IK handle. I didn't understand why he needed to create the cluster deformers but now I know. Thanks!
