Loved it. Thank you for sharing
Great photographer, miles ahead of the likes of Bailey et al.
That is not only an interesting video but a heck of an ad for the Fuji camera he is holding near the end.
Fabulous, what an interesting interview from a hugely talented, interesting and humble man. I could listen to him for hours. Brilliant
Good advice from an true expert. The 'good shoes' comment I heard from Marc Ribaud when he was asked what his most important piece of was, and he answered 'my shoes'.
looks like an X100T ♣ as the grip is more pronounced
Is that camera the fuji X100?
Very good interview with a great photographer. You might like to go to BBC i player
to view the Ken Russell film "A House in Bayswater" which features among others a very young David Hurn working out of a bed-sit at the beginning of his career.
Glad he has had such success.
I really like his vibe 🙂 25 yrs ago I coined a phrase that as photographers we are capturing the presents so those in the future can look back at the past and I love to hear David Hurn also speak about the importance of the photos we take today for people in the future 🙂 sadly so many think that the photos are just for this moment in time♥ Sean
good shoes !!! holy grail !!!
What a talented and true gentleman.
Very wise words, one camera ,one lens, simplicity….the freedom to shoot exactly what you want at the right moment. Nice video, many thanks David.
8:29 was a strong point in this video for me. Something about him shooting the lighting and the camera was heavy.

"…basically in photography there's just two controls. One is where you stand and one is when you press the button. So if you stand in the right place, and you press the button at the right time, you're gonna be alright."
I think David Hurn is a great influence on a whole generation of photographers and this is a good introduction video to his thinking. "Wear good Shoes" "Where you stand and when you press the shutter" both are important.
