Guru, are all the old tutorials going to work with the 2.8 release? or should a noob stick to tutorials made for 2.8, thanks

They should fix their collada exporter cause at this point in time it just closes the program if i dare. Doesn't seem like they are adding configurable coordinate system either. Blender is great and at the same time blender is a complete nightmare.

@10:50 Pls tell me there is a way to put the properties icons back to top instead of left(or right)side, it's horrible for me, I don't even want to work with it if it's like this omg……

Is this really happening :O ๐Ÿ˜€ Has blender finally decided to stop being retarded? ๐Ÿ˜€
Been trying to use it since like forever, but every time I use it I started to uncontrollably vomit over everything because the interface was so incredibly bad so I used other modelling programs instead. Sculpting is basically the only thing I did in blender before.

I tried modeling in a Blender 2.8 Some first impression, excellent interface make-up looks very nice. I'm disappointed with the features compared to 3ds Max. I put focus only on modeling because I did not try the other things in Blender. It would be nice for Blender to reach some level as 3ds Max. I would like others to support this project, I think absolutely worth it.

I tried 2.8 and it crashes every time I try to render… I think that might just be because I have a trash computer.

The previous blender version was a pain in the ass to learn. I hope this will change with new version.

I've hated blender ever since I first tried it several years ago. Any piece of software that has as its default UI was a set of completely unfamiliar metaphors needs to be thrown into the recycle bin right away (and it was). It started in Cursor Mode and it wasn't obvious how to change it to Select Mode, which is the usual mode to start with. Imagine my surprise running 2.8 today. It starts in Select Mode and there's a neat little toolbar on the left side! I may give it a go now.

im totally for learning that don't make immediate sense, most of the fascinating stuff in science fields is discovering what was thought counter-intuitive, to actually be a solid hundo. that being said, lord we've been waiting for this day. moving forward we will click our things with freedododooomm!!!~~

Please make really good modeling tutorials. I never got into blender because itโ€™s so unconventional. Please make it more familiar like xsi or maya or max.

I"m really liking blender 2.8 beta, a much better overall experience but I"ve not worked my way through all of it, but having said that, when are we going to see , big meshes ( mine atm is 2 mil tris) not take seemingly forever just to get into edit mode ? I could do a video, maybe I will, but I think everyone is aware of it though I don't see many people talk about it, sadly. The problem is still sadly, extremely apparent.

That's all I really care about, short of that blender seems primetime ready . So far, I've got to continue constant use of houdini to avoid the nasty edit wait time.

oh my god the best changes ever. I went to school with UDK, Unity, 3DsMax, and Maya… Blender was such a huge inconvenience to work with multiple programs. Love this! Thanks for the vid, I will definitely download this!

I may make the switch from Maya. Start making videos so and collect and revenue from them. Become a one man studio. Is there a script or app that makes rigging easier? Rapid rig or Advanceskeleton5?
