I realize that I'm late to the party by several years but the fact that a lens is a prime in NO way guarantees that it's sharp. And what standard are we using to say a lens is sharp? Are we talking Zeiss and or Leica sharp; or sharp for a high production consumer lens made in a 3rd world country? It's not just about being sharp; it's about contrast colour rendition, chromatic aberations, etc, etc, etc…

Evan my boy….you are very creative and have some awesome insights into high-speed photography…really enjoyed watching the green and red sweet peppers falling into the aquarium…What I want to know is did you cut those suckers up and fry them with garlic and onions in olive oil? Oh yeas, and then eat them over pasta and sauce? πŸ™‚

Thank you for this amazing video! I do have a question. You say the camera is on 1/160 of a sec. But my camera has a flash sync time of 1/250 of a sec. Don't we get some problems by ignoring this sync time?

Brilliant tutorial Evan. Thanks a ton!
Picture at 2:29 is much sharper and better than the "unedited – straight out of camera" picture at 4:45. Can you pl. explain the post processing you have done? Is this tutorial available with your e-book as well?
