I'm 28 years old and I've been struggling with anxiety for as long as I can remember (although back then I didn't know what it was). Photography has helped me along the way and because of this I decided to do my Masters thesis on treating anxiety with therapeutic photography. Thank you Bryce for sharing your story and founding The One Project, this will help me with my research and also personally. Big hug!
The audio on this is sooooo quiet! I listened under headphones and forgot I had to turn it up. Watched the next video and …. owwww!
this…?
I can relate to your experience very easily . Thanks for sharing.
Well done brother on switching on that light great talk man ♥ I walked away from my old life including professional photography in 2004 when I was in a state of depression. It took 4 yrs for me to get focused and shift some s..t so to speak but I did it 🙂 and although I never got back into photography when the dark clouds dispersed, after a further 6 yrs of living with a clear head with no darkness last year through my YouTube channel I started documenting my return via twice weekly videos on photography and to me all that love and passion for Photography came flooding back, so yes man I totally agree with you on the medium of photography to being a great help, well done man on everything you do – Sean
Congrats Bryce!
We're grateful to the TEDxSFU team for the opportunity to help bring more light to the conversation around therapeutic photography.
The one thing I fear the most is speaking in front people, even the camera. But Photography is how Bryce explains I feel the calm. A rush of beauty.
"Our full potential cannot shine until we feel whole" – heartfelt words and truer than most people know. Thank you, Bryce. from one photographer to another. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Good for you for finding your voice, Bryce. But I have to say that your One Project sounds an awful lot like Broken Light Collective, and all of the work that Danielle Hark has been doing for a few years now. You must have come across that photography and mental illness awareness community?
Photography saved my life too. Thank you for being brave.
Gotta love photography.
Wow, thank you so much Bryce. You are brave.
