Using Photoshop/Gimp, Inkscape, and Blender we will convert an image into a 3D object that looks great in renders.

  1. I have a question, so after you do all the nodes for the image, can you then go and rotate the view and edit items here and there and once rendered it'll still hold those nodes? or is that for 2d images only?

  2. i got a question do you guys know how to somehow get a hold of a grid option and be able to morph it because im wanting to take a 2d grid paper morph it into what a black hole would look like in a 2d spacetime then i would put light around the lines sence light travels along spactime and since black holes go so deep the light loses its energy trying to make it out causing it to fall back in the black hole making the black hole black so if i morph the 2d grid paper into what a 2d black hole would look like then put light lines beside the grid lines and put it into a good 2d to 3 blender i can see what a singularity of a black hole would look like at the center of a black hole and see what it would look like if a wormhole formed or see what it would look like if there was a ball of strings lol i would be able to see alot so is there any good blender that can do that many lines or any good grid paper software that allows you to bend it?

  3. This is a really good tutorial. You do need to pause and back track to keep up but that is what the pause button and progress bar are for. I have made a few 3D logos now following this tutorial. Good work AnonXmous.

  4. As soon as I click on the 'Material' tab, it looks totally different to yours. There's nothing about Glossy BSDF or roughness or anything. There's a 'Surface' tab but it's still completely different to the one in this tutorial.
