for the buildings, I'd probably make a single floor, and use the array modifier to make the building larger, then add a roof cap and ground floor to it
I can say as someone who took courses in architecture that your road system doesn't make any sense. If you would build a Manhattan-like city you would most probably build a perfectly regular checkered pattern. All of the streets in Manhattan are parallel one ways, alternating in direction every block. Each traffic light wave it's the horizontal streets having green light and the vertical ones are red, and vice versa. You wouldn't usually encounter this irregular pattern like you did them in a downtown area and especially not with two sided streets, unless your city planner did a bad job..

Anybody else had problems with the particle system? I followed all the steps, but the buildings don't disappear when I delete the vertices..
Anyone know why I can't see my imported obj file of a city in 3d? When I import the file into blender all I see is a 2d layout of the 'bases' of my buildings i.e it looks like a plan????
