Hey Everybody! In this video I will be showing you how to create a simple procedural paper texture/material inside of Blender. This is a pretty easy process and mainly involves using the material nodes to create a bump texture for a plane. We will be using a cool trick to mix the textures themselves to create this cool effect.
I hope you guys enjoy this tutorial and learn something new. If you have any suggestions for future tutorials, feel free to leave them in the comments below, and don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share your results. I would also appreciate it if you guys would support me on Patreon so that I can continue to bring you guys these tutorials and help improve their quality as well.
Thanks for watching!

Cool Tip: If you guys replace the material set-up with a single glossy shader that has a roughness between 0 and 0.1, you can get a pretty cool aluminum/tin foil texture/material.

retard can you make this shit more hard to follow? what kind of idiot are you? dumass
The minute you use an external image, it's no longer fully procedural. Congrats. You've played yourself.
How can I make a wrinkled plastic look?
Does not work with 2.80. I did exactly what was shown… The paper gets so distorted that it is goes out of the viewport. After that, the controllers will not change anymore. Either that's a bug in 2.80 or it just does not work that way anymore with 2.80
yo this is stone, not paper
why is the ctrl + T not working on mine?
If you could SLOW DOWN a little, the presentation would be much better. If we already KNEW how to do whatever is on your video, then the speed would not matter.
Thanks, always great tutorials and tips…
That Poor PC though, I can hear it suffering!
Nice tutorial! And the result looks good; maybe I can find a lined paper texture. I'd suggest using the new principled shader instead of the diffuse and glossy combo. It does the fresnel automatically (with a little more accuracy), and I think it's better performance, if I remember correctly. I tried it, and the settings translate over nigh-perfectly. Thank you for sharing this with us 🙂
