Is the UI a bit different in 2.78? I cant find cycles hair rendering
Useless for blender 2.78. There are no control panels like in the tutorial.
has the UI changed much since this tut please? as cant find any of these controls? (using 2.78b)
How do you create short hair like the model in this video and still make it function in Unity? I tried using Bevel curves but when converted to mesh it lags blender down horribly.

You don't have an Aussie accent, just sayin.
how does one avoid the hair particles going through the mesh when animating? this is still a problem for me
Throwback to when Andrew said he'll leave the link to the site in the comments at 27:49
got lost after the fifth word……:(
Can you please make a new version of this tutorial for Blender 2.78?
When I render the hair,it looks invisible like a wispy stream of smoke.
any chance to get a tutorial about hair dynamics?? I Just want to make hair without intersecting with other meshes! it isn't working and can't find good documentations about hair dynamics and collisions.
what about using this in a game in unity? Will the hair look the same?
Great tutorial, Andrew, as usual. I don't get why you don't use the HAIR BSDF shader, but it was probably released after this video
outerior XD
Is there a tutorial for the human you used to make this tutorial?
good afternoon
a question , I did the system of particles of a character, when making the rigging . the mesh moves but without hair , you know how to solve that problem. or not follow a step.
thank you very much
I found an average 2-300 follicles per sq cm scalp hair. Also, I've found that one child per strand is best for body hair, allowing you to comb it as close as possible to where it should render. Beards, I think also, but with more children, maybe 4-8, since there's usually fewer, larger strands.
jesus fucking christ shut the fuck up n do a dam tut 10 mins in and your still fuckin yapping 10 mins is i could stand
Great , I LOVE BLENDER 🙂
This is causing my blender to crash. When I go to render it says blender has stopped working and crashes
