How do I load the mixer in? So far I can only open it up in a separate blender file. But that's because I put it in documents so I probably did it wrong.
Following your guide. I get awsome result, love this. I am very curious about something about the UI settings.
Everytime you open a new image in image texture, you see the thumbnails directly.
I have to press the "show as thumbnails" everytime I open anything, and it keeps resetings to the "Display as Short List"
How do I make the "Show as Thumbnails" as default? so it always shows as thumbnails if I open anything
In the description:
Floor Smudges link leads to "Gun Scratches 002"
Gun Scratches link leads to "Hand Smudges Type A Light 001"
No links leads to "Floor Smudge"
Just saying 😀
i like that you always are happy in your vids
this was very useful. thanks!
Great tutorial. Very informative and easy to follow. It helped me get my head around a few things I couldn't quite understand, in relation to PBR shading. (:-)
Hmm. In the video about Filmic Blender Andrew says not to use Mix Modes including Screen. So if I want to use Filmic Blender and at the same time use several surface imperfections, how do I do it?
How would you apply this to glass? Say I want to put fingerprints on a car window. Being that the glass node has a bsdf connection you cant just mix it with a some thing that has a color node.
hey! shouldn;t the footprint map be inverted as well, since it is a gloss map? thanks!
Where can I find the first video? Thank you!
Hola Andy muchas gracias por este increíble tutorial, sin embargo hay problemas con el link de descarga del Normal Map Mixer Nodegroup, por favor te agradecería mucho si lo pudieras arreglar 🙂
Rad stuff Andrew, thank you so much!
I just realize you look like Justin Bieber
Hi!
I have question…
How can I export it to Unity?
Your tutorials are fantastic and they taught me a lot of stuff, thank you very much.
combined normal map…. you are my hero…
What's the story on the water droplets from Poliigon? I can apply the normals just fine, but I'm lost on the color, transparency…
how do you add overlay to glass bsdf
I'm curious to know why Andrew needs to use a Fresnel node when the principled shader is supposed to handle that automatically?
Subtle plug of poliigon 😀
Great ! sure "it's a really quick and easy thing to do" (12:45), but thanks for help ! 😀
How can I change the size of the imperfections ?
I love your videos. They are just perfect.
Thank you for your awesome videos. I am just getting into materials and have a couple of questions. I see "diffuse" and "height" maps included in PBR packs. Are they useful in Blender? How to invert roughness/gloss map in blender? How do you preview black and white non color maps in 3D viewport in your videos. Thank you again. Looking forward for next videos.
Unfortunately it's not free to get these. I used the free signup credit with a different tutorial and can't get these textures to follow along with this tutorial 🙁
Is it even possible to OVERdo a material ;D
help! im trying to do this on an object that doesn't have a pbr texture because it is just glass, but when i plug the surface imperfection in, the glass just gets rough and doesn't look like a wine glass anymore
how do i install the group?
I've modeled a bullet in blender, and want to add the Gun Scratches 001 to the texture. It doesn't seem to be doing anything at all. What have I done wrong?
I dont use belnder and your tutorials from poliigon and blender guru are still extremly helpfull, u can use those tipps in any 3d software!
Amazing as usual. You really are a milestone for this Blender community. Thanks a lot.
What does 'Screen' of the mix node?
How do you use the .zip from blender.org to access 2.78.5?? I can figure it out
What happened to the poor reflection map? Is it not necessary with metalness workflow?
