Alimayo Arango of littleguycgi.com teaches how to model and rig a human male face and to apply a rig to it in Blender 2.71 in part one of this two part series on modelin and human face and rigging in

This is a fairly lengthy tutorial that tries to explain in depth how to model the eyes, jaws, teeth, hair, and face of a human male mesh.

This tutorial also teaches how rig eyes with armatures, how to setup shape keys for facial animation, how to create pose groups and how to set face poses in the Blender pose library.

1:14:10 But if you duplicate the eyes, put them both at each side to join them, it just makes doubles doesn't it? How come that didn't happen in the video?

shoot I got past the eye and forgot how to bring the body back. hahaha, found it again in the video and it actually showed the NUMPAD / after the eyes, but phew. I knew I hadn't lost it but it was going to be embarrassing someone to find it.

Alimayo definitely you are more than an artist. I wish I had
something I could share back with  you
but I can only appreciate your work because you know the subject, you make good
tutorials and mostly, you know how to teach. I’m gonna be stuck with you for a
while.  Thank you so much,  now I appreciate Blender even more. KJ

Im having trouble with this tutorial because when I try and scale down geometry, it scales down the geometry around it as well. Do you have any ideas as to why this may be happening?

    December 13, 2017 at 22:48

I'm having trouble seeing the grey surfaces on the mesh. Whenever I am in edit mode, it shows each point as orange and the faces see-through. I don't know how to fix this.

    December 13, 2017 at 22:48

In my opinion it's good tutorial but the mesh is not perfect for animations.
The loop of the face is not create done. This tutorial don't explain the modeling but rigging. The rigging is explain very well!

hi alimayo i have a problem with the eye, in pose mode I chose an eye but not can shift the eyebone, I think I make a mistake with joining the eyes to the mesh before. I followed step by step, everything all was fine and good shaped to the part of "1:29 " so confused to me , first I need to take the just one eye in pose mode? but how? thanks for all your turs are great.
