What method did you used for the facial rigging? Is it joint based? I've been looking for joint based facial rigging tutorial and can't find one. Can you make a tutorial or lend me a link on a tutorial about it?

This character is from Kinect Star Wars isn't it. I knew I recognized it. Not that that is a bad thing, the quality of the models was something from the game that I actually thought was well produced.

I am learning 3D online like here in YouTube, and I choose you as my tutor in animating because you seem enjoying what your doing and your instructions is clear. Others makes me sleepy and I don't want that to happen because I really want to learn so thank you very much and hope you continue teaching people..

Hi i have a problem, for my college project i need to create a character that will have some blend shapes and lip syncing like this, im planning on sculpting my character in zbrush then retopologizing it, but one thing confuses me,do i have to sculpt the character with the mouth open to be able to animate it later on? or can i sculpt it with the mouth closed? sorry it might seem like a dumb question but im kinda stuck haha would really appreciate some help 🙂 great tutorials by the way!

Nice tutorial. Maybe add the tongue raising to the roof of the mouth when she says the "N", also for the "T" and again for the "D" at the end before she closes her mouth. also moving the tongue back slightly from the relaxed point when she says the "W" and the middle of the tongue toward the roof and front lowered with the "E".

One of the things I often see is that the animators appear to forget the tongue movements in the mouth during speech or the tongue flaps around like a beached fish with no synch to the sound. A person who lip reads is probably the best person for doing this since they are trained to see how all parts of the mouth move to make sounds. Little things like that make your animations better than many others who forget these little details.

Probably the ultimate test is to see if your friends can lip read what your character is saying with the sound turned off. If someone can lip read what your character is saying, you've probably got it as perfect as it's ever going to be.
