  1. Hi Matt, I have a Nikon D5100. I do not have any filters of any kind. This will not work during the day with my 18-105 kit lens. Tried 20 second shots at f22, can't seem to reduce the exposure meter. Image comes out flashing black and white. Any suggestions may help. Thank you.

  2. I personally think that you should use at least 100 seconds when taking pictures of water. I heard a great tip that if the image is to dark to go up by 50 or 100 seconds instead of 10 seconds each time to get the look you're aiming for.

  3. MattG.,
As always, your videos are always awesome. I wish that I could have seen your videos prior to my last night shooting. I was at the Lake Ebenizer (NC) which is not too far from where I live. I was screwing up my camera settings every which way… I've just copied every setting that you have posted in this video presentation and I will let you know how my shots have turned out…
And yes, using simply the Shutter-Priority Mode (only for the time being) can teach you a lot about long exposures which ultimately will help you to understand (in the long-run) how to apply the M-Manual Mode.
    Thanks for a great video…
    Cheers!
