In this video I will be teaching you guys how to easily rig a spring, the difference between my tutorials is that I truly go in-depth so the student actually understands why they do certain steps and not just simply follow them.

Welcome to the “Maya Rigging” channel, in this channel I will be mainly focusing on delivering in depth explanations having to do with Maya rigging, I won’t just show you the steps to do a certain task, but as well the why we do certain steps to reach our destination.
This way of teaching allows you as the student to truly grasp the concept.. be able to do it on your own without looking at notes and not have to bookmark this video every single time you attempt to do the task in hand.

Hi, I followed along the video, but when I tried to export it out to fbx and import into unity, the mesh/geometry is gone. Can you or anyone that knows help me out? Thanks!
Your video was super helpful and I learned a lot. However, I wasn't able to use my spring for what I intending in the end because I couldn't solve how to scale it :/ Might be helpful to include in the future.
Tks
Hey thanks for sharing, I followed your tutorial and have an ideal result that I want. However, after I keyframed the controllers to animate the movement, the spring melts to the floor out of no reason, do you know why or do you know what should I key? Thanks!
Hi There! First of all, loved the video, super useful, however I followed your steps to the book, the spring appears to be working perfectly, however when I try to key the ctrls the spring warps and shoots off my screen, Ive tried making hierarchies, parenting to other groups, nulls and ctrls to try and eliminate bad data bit nothing seems to work. I was wondering if you have any insight or have encountered this before especially if we are making the rig to animate. Thanks!
perfect
Why did not finish.Scaling is very important. If you can add?
Dude you're an awesome teacher, great fucking video.
hey, thanks for everything but whenever I put the curves and stuff, my whole spring deforms in a really weird way.. so I can't close it too much nor open it too much..
would it be because I scaled it before doing all this ??
you sir are the best, thank you for borrowing your time to make this video.
thank you thank you thank you! (:
The course that you have in your description, would I be able to follow along? I really have no experience what so ever with rigging and want to make sure I will be able to follow along as well there.
i enjoy how easy you explain things, thank you so so much!
Where exactly is it that I can purchase your course at??
Can this be done as well using joints…?
