This is the first look into character rigging. Rigging is such a wide area, so these tutorials are going to be uploaded in parts. The first part is:
– Setting up the skeleton.
The next tutorial will be comming soon. In the next tutorial we will be looking at how to setup the leg.

I have a problem, when i rotate the spine only my legs move pls help!
did i make some mistake related to parent and child ?

The orientation part was confusing. Like what was the freeze transforming and why. How does the xyz thing work?

05:17 – To skip the renaming of joints 🙂
At 7:50+ you say "You can see it is rotating very weirdly" but I can't see the difference in rotation there and in the end where you have fixed the orientation. How was it rotating weirdly?
Hey man, great tutorial, however I am having a few issues and I was hoping you could help me out….
I've done the LRA orientation, however when I rotate the spine as you did it rotates but the spine does not bend, it just rotates as if it is a single object. How do I correct this…?

@captainkizy just select the skeleton then hold shift+click on the joints u want to choose
How would I be able to move and rotate the hole character to like get it in the correct place at the start of the scene?
Great vid, but I suggest you orient the joints before you mirror them because sometimes you need to do a bit of fine tuning and mirroring over the orientation saves a lot of time, a small thing I know but just a tip in return for the mass of tips you're giving me with this vids 🙂

@timothyweed08 You select the joint and click the same place where you clicked to show them. I can't remember where it is on the top of my head.

Thumb,Index,Middle,Ring,Small. Hope it helps 🙂
How do you get the LRA thing to turn off. I didnt just select my skeleton and now I see XYZ at every joint.
