This week we start modeling a velociraptor in Blender.
This is part 1 : setting up the scene and blocking in the form.

The fuck? Why aren't you using a plane instead??
How do you go into side view?
i pressed the limited to visible button but still only take front points ?
o btw i dont know if u know this but all dinosaurs in jurassic park r hybrids and mostlikly alot of dinosaurs had feathers aswell like t.rex and alot of the dinosaurs in the tyrannosaurid group but dont worry they might have not had that maby feathers 😉
i got a blender ad while watching this…..
he velociraptor from Jurassic park is actually a featherless Utahraptor
Great
Definitely utahraptor
when he breathes i feel like there is something standing behind me
what is the shortcut key you use after ctrl+r
Blender version ?
what software did you use? is it compatible in wondows 8?
need more feathers
but how would u even do feathers in blender
Bad , Tutorial for Beginers , there is no support for beginers or noobs …
No shortcuts , no nothing just words for medium or advanced users . To hard to follow
muchas gracias por tu tutorial 😉
estoy siguiendo cada boton que oprimes para lograr hacer el dinosaurio ….
Wow, the jurassic period of 2011! With dinosaurs running around and first ape-men discovering their primitive blender tools made of stone and bones. Must have been good ol' days, I envy guys, who were already good with Blender even then!
Thank you very much <33 I'm creating game with my friends and I'm making animals models. Velociraptor isn't an animal in middleages (our game is in middleages), but the tutorial was very useful 🙂
Thanks for making the video, bud. This is really cool and the help is appreciated. I'll try to follow along as best I can.
just call it a Utah raptor and say you prefer it without feathers
I'm having trouble adding the limbs whenever I try to add the arms or legs it screws up the body
I cant even get past 6:30……… im doing the same exact thing, but it wont work! ughghghgh
i cant find the display setting to add the image
i wish it also had an application running showing us which keys you are pressing. it is sometimes useful, but with Blender, I think always useful;;;) thanks for the lessons
!
Yeah, I was able, thanks to your tutorial, to take it a step further: I modeled a Sinraptor–it's only distantly related to the Velociraptor, but the concepts are similar.
how do you make the model transparent?
You know that others ask money for tutorials like this? Thanks a lot for sharing with us man!
it worked perfectly for me, mine looks exactly like his, and thank you soooo much for these tutorial's
when ever i make it mirror it never becomes a actual 3d model but just a 2d thing and iv put on everything you said like morror clipping and all the other things
i dont get it
how you selec "empy"
perodn si saves español
como haces para elegir edentidad vacia
eso
It's not Velociraptor, but Deinonychys, although no one care
Pro modeler right here!😀😀😀😀😀😀
Your work is so great!! I know how hard it can be… Looking forward to see more videos 🙂
How do i extrude the way hes is talking about so the loop cut doesn't go all the way through the body because mine does?
Please help. I'm using blender 2,76, and I'm trying your way of making the cube go transparent and it won't. It just stays solid in front of the picture of the raptor.
Which version of blender are you using?
