How big is the reflector you have?
Love your videos! I'm new to photography, but what do you think of bridge cameras? Unfortunately I didn't do a lot of research before I bought a camera…. and well, I ended up with a bridge camera.
I need someone to subtitle your videos to Spanish 🙁
I could relate to NOT having enough friends to hold the reflector for me hahahah
Sub for the animal crossing. Woot! Woot!
I did not know about those star filters. That's so cool. Just checked and they're around $22 on b&H. Will definitely be buying one. I wonder If I can get a bigger filter and attach somehow to smaller diameter lenses. Maybe tape, haha
Awesome video!! I love it
Bless you girl, you are an inspiration for me
💪🤩
beginners considerations:
Your biggest expense, should be LENSES.
Lenses can last you decades ( I still have a nikon 35-70mm f2.8, nikon 80-200mm f2.8 from the 1980s, working awesome to this day.)
Your camera body, will be replaced every few years, take into consideration a companies past track records on lens compatibility for newer cameras.
NIKON lenses, from 1965 will fit on my Nikon D700, D800 DSLRs
IF YOU are thinking of doing weddings, HAVE A BACKUP CAMERA BODY. worst scenario to encounter is your camera body stops working mid wedding.
GET a nifty 50, the 50mm f1.8 is cheap and in the right hands, UNBEATABLE. And if your more expensive lens breaks, a 50mm can save the day in a pinch.
choosing a DSLR backup body, that your lenses and batteries will fit each body is a smart move.
Using a 2nd camera body also gives you the ability to not switch lenses so much. have one 28-70 f2.8 on one camera, and a 70-200 f2.8 on another body. Now u just grab camera and dont riskl dust n dirt getting into the camera body.
EXTRA MEDIA CARDS for your cameras.
Choosing your camera body that has TWO media card slots and setting camera to record each image to each card ( instantly making a backup of the image) may be a wise choice.
ON CAMERA FLASH gives shitty flat lighting, you'll need an extra awesome photoshop genius to make on camera flash photos look good.
Off camera flash is miles above oncamera flash. checkout jeessicas site for weddings. NONE of those photos were lit by just an on camera flash.
filters, prisms, all other oddities are NOT NEEDED. much like 500mm mirror lenses, they get used for a few times or so then, just sit there for years.
IF YOURE NOT SURE PHOTOGRAPHY IS RIGHT FOR YOU BUT WANNA TRY IT, DONT BUY BRAND NEW GEAR. Save yourself a ton of money and buy used gear from KEH . com
Jess please make a vid on “how to click better pictures of yourself”
The lighting is the thing that should get the highest budget, without light there is no photos,
Jessica should a beginner start with a film or digital camera
Thank You!

wack list. Must have? What? I must have wrapping paper? Before a good tripod? What about a good neck strap. What about a polarizing filter? ND filters? You should rename this video "Some of the things I use to take photos that you might like to try"
🙂 Hahhhahhhaaa
