  1. For some reason, when I go to the compositing scene, and I try to see the effect, even after connecting the muzzle flash nose to the viewer and everything, it isnt showing up. help pls anyone

  2. So I have followed your steps, but at 9:25 about, when you plug the pipe from the add node to the viewer node, I don't see the effect working, it looks like it is not working. My footage looks unchanged for the original. Any ideas?

Great tutorial by the way. I am probably jumping in over my head with this attempt at a muzzle flare effect. I have no experience with blender at all.

  3. Muzzle flares is nice, but your'e still missing the slide action. The top of the gun should slide back and forth as the cartridge cycles through. It shouldn't be difficult to make. Of course, for me, these things all look easy until I try them.

  4. Awesome tutorial…. but could you tell me how did you set that background in the video… I am making a small animation with Blender 7 and I want that I could change the background of my video to something like what  you have set in this video… Or may be plain white

  5. Awesome videos! I've subbed! You should do a tutorial on blending 3d objects with the ground with environmental reflections etc….Just a suggestion. Keep up the good work!

  6. Really great stuff. I like the pace. It's not too fast but its not so slow that it would put off people used to the software. I just started playing with blender as a movie editor today and while I can see it taking a bit of time to get used to it I've liked what I've seen so far.

I don't suppose you could let me know what export settings you recommend for rendering out footage?

  7. Another great video … and delivered with much more confidence this time! I have this idea to make a quick video shoot-out with my wife and six-year-old using this technique over fingers-pointed-like-guns. A nice, pleasant nuclear family goes postal over household chores or something!

    Keep 'em coming, Tom!
