I learned to twist the on-camera-flash to bounce off the gold reflector – that's important and enough for me 🙂
Don’t like blown highlights.
Thanks for the video. Just starting use flash and this helped
This guy’s great! For some reason he reminds me of David Copperfield
6:00 that's a pretty bad shot. Dad's legs wide apart, crotch exposed. Mom's posture is bang on. You can't give this to a client.
i think you should've put a reflector on the right side of the subject
What is a "white over silver" reflector? Is the assistant holding two reflectors? i.e. a silver behind a white scrim? So not too much of the flash is lost?
what camera was used for this shot?
The photo turned out great but the parents are so fake it's sickening…
Don't you think the bounced light is a bit harsh? Probably we are viewing this in Srgb format, I am getting that feel or the apple screen is giving that impression. I am sure the original pic must be looking much better.😊
Great video and tips!!
But at 6:13 'Catelyn spraining her wrist while Mom and Dad are holding her hand' sounds bad.
Absolutely loved the case study! The initial thoughts, how to tackle challenges, your final solutions. THAT is teaching. Big thanks!
Good one mate
ok got the f stop now whats the focus on your camera??
how is that on camera lighting ?
where can I get a shirt like that?
Nice pic.
I really appreciate your lessons… so well explained and easy to follow
Not a pro. Just a hobby. Not going to use the reflectors and stand a lot. Can I rent them anywhere?
hey does anyone have a good flash to buy that can get the job done and isnt too complicated. i own the yn600ex rt and hate it.
You're a genius!!
What do you do if you don't have an assistant to hold up reflectors/etc. ? Working with one flashgun ?
Do you have tutorials for those of us doing this without an assistant? (I have been doing this many years and that is not going to happen.)
Awesome tutorial.. have a few families coming up soon, going to have this in my back pocket now!!
Pye, thanks for all the great tips. Would a 70-200 lens put you too far away for the flash in this situation? Thanks, Mark
I just did family pictures yesterday, it was exhausting because you're right about that you had to move quickly and fun at the same time.
hi sir.
Thanks for this video. I have one question. and hope u can help me. what you can say about rogue diffuser? or what u recommend for outdoor shot sir. simple setup. thanks a lot.
I don't get how F2 you have all their faces in focus.
I love photography as much as I love you when you speak! you are so stupidly sexy! and I've seen lots of your tutorials and as good as they are I have to keep re-watching them as many times, You take me out of the subject matter with your charm! Congratz… x
Thanks a lot! ) Question about zoom angle on speedlight. You leave it on 24mm?
Good shot of the Colliers
