Wasted 10 hours???
I love comments on this video.
Look at them now.
man u are soo bad at this
10 HOURS FOR THAT SHOT!!! MY WIFE TAKES 5 SECONDS AND TAKES A BETTER SHOT. WHAT A CRAP VIDEO AND THE MUSIC IS SO ANNOYING!
for a complete amateur , can somebody please explain how do you combine 2 images where watch is shot from slightly different angles and distances?
why don't you guys not make good tutorial.. instead of talking ,showing your face and b roll shots…
Guys we should support this guy he is not like these people

LoL… clickbait.
Very strange video editing. The use of quick, random black & white combined with out of focus shooting is interesting. Nice video
I never understood these photographers that use photoshop for 1/2 the photo. Are we photographers or graphic designers? If it can be done on camera, it should.
10 hours for that? What are you doing lol.
How were you able to get the watches to photograph? Were you doing it on spec for the jewelry store or did you buy it?
i really wanna listen to and watch this video but.. that horrible whiny music.. is horrible.. jeesus .. seriously.. smh
10 hours for that, pathetic actually!! And the music is such a distraction, I had to stop watching! This video will teach you what not to do!!
That music…..oye.
Pretending to have real Rolex watches on hand, when all you have are those cheap fakes lol
when i saw this i proud my self made better than this in 10 min :-/
All the people saying that his photo looks average / rubbish / they could do better etc . Post your amazing watch photo in a link and show us how good you are ? Unless you are full of shit of course ….
Nice videos! This one in particular which is in my area of photography and which keeps me busy for 10 years almost 250 days a year. Not an easy task to photograph jewellery and watches. Very nice that you tried and came up with an OK result… And probably many below that are commenting didn't hear you saying that you are not a product photographer(needless to day Jewellery), so just ignore the negative comments below! Awesome
Would never make it onto a Rolex Ad! too many specular highlights and reflections. I'd remake this video in better quality and differently. try using foam core sheets to bounce light instead of pointing lights directly. also a soft feathered highlight on the glass would make it more 3 dimensional. I love your newer videos! good work.
I like that video, and the fact you've left it here all these years later. It was very real and unpretentious, and therefore interesting and educational.
Today at Fstoppers: we have no idea what we're doing, here's a ten minute video of us doing fuck all.
I too take apart my computer for each of my product shots
Very cool video, funny fact: this is a replica Daytona, i can even name the movement that is used;)

One thing keeps coming to mind while watching this… Keep It Simple, Stupid.
waste of time
great video buddy. try to use a remote or a 2-second timer when your taking jewellery shots to avoid micro movements. its good practice no matter what shutter speed your using.
Sorry but that is one of the worst photographs of a Rolex we have come across, you have complicated the watch face with artefacts that should not be there. Looks very messy, loss of detail in the shadows on the front and shadows on the bottom. Compare with Rolex brochure photography in how to do it and practice on that. It does demonstrate why courses should be taken in photography by those who know how to shoot or assist photographers who shoot watches. 😀 All the best.
i agree too much work for a low average result.
Great job but your video is hard to watch because of the extremely irritating music you are playing in the background. It's very distracting and I had to struggle not to quit watching your video.
great video and results
what lens did you use
You guys went overkill on the blurred transitions.
The music is killing me.
9:10 Where the minute hand is, on the outside ring at "300", is it just my screen or is there some blue shade?
what a waste of 10 min of my life..
Ten hours for this result…? A pro reaches the same or better in an hour 😉
this watch fake, check on the polished rehaut wtf
Ain't got no time for all of that
I'm peeved that such a reputable channel like yourselves would use a fake watch and try to pawn it off to us as a genuine article….disappointed.
Actually i dont understand why so much hatters here. The photo was nice
